To be honest, I wish I hadn’t gotten into it. It’s incredibly addictive, and it takes up so much of my time. And on occasion, you end up rooting for a player that is going against your team just because they are on your FFB team.

If you like football, just stick with the team that you like and follow them. It’s okay to pay attention to the latest headlines and info (rotoworld and cbs sportsline are my two favorites), but it really will ruin your football watching experience if you get into it. At times you won’t even care if your team is losing, providing that your FFB team is doing well.

If you are still interested, if you go to rotohog you can actually start a December only league with your friends (that way you can learn).

It’s really too late to get into any fantasy football leagues for this year. It’s already week 13 of the NFL season.

The basics of fantasy football are this: You’re forming a team of actual players. And you get these players by drafting them. And all you’re interested in are their stats. Now, it depends on what league you join for the scoring system they use. And the league will dictate how many guys you start at each position. Most leagues have you start 1 QB, 2 RB’s, 3 WR’s, a TE, a Kicker, and a team defense. So, you’ve drafted all these players and a defense and you’ve got some bench players too. And you decide each week who to start. And they earn points for your team. So, you want your QB to throw for a lot of yards and a lot of TD’s. And you want your RB’s to get yards and TD’s. Most leagues give you a point for every 10 yards rushing/receiving and then 6 points for a TD. That’s what’s called standard scoring. The types of scoring can differ from each league.

Next football season, sign up for a basic league on Yahoo. And do a live draft.

The best way to start understanding and getting interested in football is to get a console game for like the xbox or something. I've converted a lot of non football fans into hardcore fans that way. (All girls).

Basically, you own a team and draft NFL players for various positions (QB,WR,RB,TE,Defense,Kicker). Once you have your roster, you pick and choose who you want to start and bench for that particular week.

Once your roster is set, you wait and see how each of your players did. Points come from Rushing,passing,and receiving yards and touchdowns for offense. Kickers get points for FG’s made and extra points made. Some leagues give bonus points for distance.

Defense can be either a team or player depending on your league. you get points for points allowed,sacks,interceptions,touchdowns etc.

Basically go to the point section of your league to get the detaisl on points.

To join a league talk to your friends and ask them who is starting the league. You can also look for public leagues on here, people are always looking for players. good luck!

yeah pay attention to the players. get their stats and pick who u think will do good depending on the team. like if a really good qarterback plays a sucky team then choose him to start for ur fantasy team. i wuld xplain more but im tired

How can I start getting into Fantasy Football, and Football in general?
Well, most of my friends are in Fantasy Football Leagues and they always are watching the football games. I never have any idea what they are talking about when they talk about the points and stuff.Is there any way I can start to get into the whole Football thing, and make a Fantasy Football league of just me versus some computer guys so I can learn how to do it for next year? Can someone just give me a brief rundown of how fantasy football works and how I can get into Football and Fantasy Football Leagues please?
