iPod and iPod gift card so she can buy music.

Shoes. Converse are great for tomboyish girls.

Books. Harry Potter. Cirque du Freak (They’re kids vampire novels but they’re the farthest thing from frilly Twilight you can get).

Gameboy DS and a couple of games. Scribblenauts is awesome.

Acoustic guitar and lessons or beginners books.

Sounds like my daughter. She likes archery… maybe yours would like a good recurve or compound bow? I don’t know if you condemn guns or not, but a Red Ryder BB gun or a .22 to do some target practice (on pop cans, not people). Baseball glove, camouflage clothing or outdoor wear. Camping gear — walkie talkies (I like the kind with the built-in weather radio from Amazon), puptent, heavy duty flashlight, hiking boots.

Mine also loves horses, but you haven’t stated your daughter’s interests. My daughter reads about horses like crazy, so get yours some books that would interest her, or a subscription. If you want your daughter to learn how to cook, but she doesn’t like the kitchen, then get her her own little grill and tools and teach her to grill or get her a campfire cooking set. She might like a volleyball net or a Blongoball set (Amazon–some are better quality than others). Yackle balls are great.

My daughter also plays with her little brother buiding Legos, Tinkertoys, and Lincoln Logs. She is an artist–literally–and loves art kits. Yours? There is a "Dangerous Book For Boys" chemistry set and electric set, which you can get from Amazon and contrary to the title, it’s great for girls.

My daughter is 12 and does just about all these things, though I have still taught her to cook in the kitchen and make homemade bread and such (she loves pounding on that dough).

EDIT: A woodburning or woodcarving kit — my daughter loves those. The one girly thing she does do is crochet, and boy is she good.

What is a good gift for a girl who likes boys type of things?
She doesn’t act like a boy, but she just doesn’t like girly things like clothes and make up. Any good ideas?
Some interests of hers are rap, basketball, baseball,sports
